Selena was born in 1958 in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1982. In 1984 she furthered her studies at the Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris as a recipient of the French government scholarship. She obtained her MA in 1988 at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, where she begins to teach shortly after as a docent of drawing and painting. So far Selena has had numerous solo exhibitions in Belgrade, Paris, Rome, Copenhagen, Azerbaijan, and had participated in various group shows in former Yugoslavian countries, France, Belgium and Germany. She received the Salon de Montrogue award in 1999. Currently she lives and works both in Belgrade and Paris.
