Second Part of the Exhibition

The second part of the exhibition Algorithm of Care, curated by Mia David, is now on view at Novembar Gallery. Developed in collaboration with the NGO ŠkArt, the project brings together the works of twelve artists. This second chapter of the exhibition features works by Milica Živković, Milo Masončić, Siniša Ilić, Srđa Dragović, and Teodora Nikolić.

The exhibition explores how feminist principles can be integrated into the development of artificial intelligence algorithms to help reduce the marginalization of vulnerable groups and enable the earlier recognition of behavioral patterns that may lead to domestic violence, gender-based violence, and femicide.

Through diverse artistic practices, the participating artists examine the relationship between technology, digital labor, social responsibility, and care. Their works address themes such as the representation of digital space, the position of women in contemporary society, and the potential for AI systems to be designed in ways that recognize and respond to inequalities and the lived experiences of those most often excluded from decision-making processes.

By questioning the assumption that algorithms are neutral, the exhibition highlights how AI systems reflect the social values and decisions embedded in their development. In doing so, it underscores the potential of contemporary art to contribute to a deeper understanding of the ethical challenges posed by emerging technologies.
