On Wednesday, October 30, Novembar gallery hosted a screening of the film Taiwan Canasta (1985, directed by Goran Markovic) and Artist Talk, as part of the current exhibition On Speech, Silence, Screaming and Writing.

The program began with a screening of the film Taiwanese Canasta. Visitors to the Novembar gallery had the opportunity to recognize Nesic’s sculptures, the legendary “Mrdalice,” through famous film stills, which attract special attention in the current exhibition.

The screening was followed by the traditional Artist Talk. Artist Milija Nesic and film director Goran Marković participated in the conversation, while the moderator was curator Mia David.

Milija Nesić’s solo exhibition About Speech, Silence, Screams, and Writing is open until November 2nd and visitors can view it every working day (except Mondays) from 12:00 to 20:00, Saturdays from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00 at Kursulina 22.

As a reminder, the screening of the film Taiwanese canasta in the Novembar gallery was realized in cooperation with the production company Centar Film. By handing over a digitized copy of the film, the production company Centar Film added importance to Milija Nesic’s independent exhibition in the Novembar gallery.
